Congratulations to all who participated and made the event such a huge success! Stay tuned for pictures and presentations to be posted!

John Pucher, a professor in urban planning and policy development at Rutgers University and the keynote speaker, spoke about the health, safety and obesity of the US cyclist/walker. he pointed out how far behind the US is from Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands in providing safe cycling and pedestrian safety and access.

Peter Bilton, previously a member of the Alan M. Voorhees transportation center at Rutger's and now at the Civic Eye Collaborative, spoke about making bike riders happy people and how to do so!

Kendra Arnold of Morristown Critical Mass, regaled the crowd with stories of her first critical mass ride in Morristown, now in its fifth year!

Laura Torchio inspired all when she spoke about WalkBike Montclair and how successful the group has become and why. Their Tour de Montclair is on May 15th this year and info can be found on our calendar

After all was said and done, a great day was had by all, followed by a tour of Trenton by bike and foot.

Make Your Voice Heard!

A rallying call!!!  Take to the streets!!!  To the Barricades!!!  Gets the blood boiling, doesn't it?

But sometimes you can help make a difference, right from your computer.  Here's how...

3 Foot Passing Legislation

Make your voice heard in Trenton by siging our online petition here for a 3 Foot Safe Passing Law for NJ cyclists, walkers, runner, joggers, and other vulnerable users.

The language is not perfect, but we need to have a beginning - a way to get the word out that all vulnerable users need to be protected. We also need to have a bill that will be passed and not continue to languish in committees. Please support our petition and your right to ride, walk, jog, run safely on NJ roadways. And if you want to help with this vital campaign, please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
